Dr. P.J. Plateel, governor of New Guinea, mr. T.H. Bot, State Secretary of New Guinea affairs, and the group of guests that are in New Guinea for an orientation trip, arrive at Setani airport near Hollandia with an airplane of the Kroonduif Airlines. In Hollandia the people talk to leaders of the different political parties about the foundation of the New Guinea Council. Mr. Van Thiel, chairman of the catholic employers' organization, and Derk Roemers, chairman of the NVV (Dutch social-democratic trade union), talk to Arnold Runtomboy and other members of the People's Democratic Party. C.J. van Mastrigt, chairman of the CNV (Dutch Christian trade union), talks to mr. Wajoi and other members of the Parna. L. Brunt, secretary of the KNVB (Dutch football federation), plays soccer with Papuan people. Mrs. Wevers of the Red Cross talks to children in a kampung. Mrs. G.H. Keizer-Hardix, chairwoman of the Dutch Association for Housewives, is looking at men in the kampung who are cutting sago from sago palms. Also the construction of the building where the New Guinea Council wil reside, a visit from Sinterklaas to children and aerial shots of New Guinea.
