The exhibition 'Amsterdam Diamond City' in the Apollo Hall in Amsterdam, where diamond merchants and juwelers from twelve countries show their diamonds. With a.o. industrial uses, the Amsterdam 'Stedemaagd' with Aschberg diamond, the coat of arms of the UN in diamonds and the Hope diamond. Prof. Jelle Zijlstra, Minister of Economic Affairs, takes a look at a demonstration of diamond cutting. Also footage of the security during the night and the setting up of the exhibition.
